Steered Groww's much-loved stock product, launched products to improve recurring and IPO orders.

• 4.03% lift in payment success rate across stocks and mutual fund payments worth $869M/week, mostly by making the payment journey less stupid.
• Integrated IPO ↔ UPI experience to drive 80% of Groww's IPO orders through the internal UPI system, lifting order success rates.

Partnered with NPCI to build next-gen fraud prevention while scaling Groww UPI 3x to $1.9B/month GMV, with success rates 5% higher than competition. Quite a rewarding journey.

• Shipped a first-of-its-kind UPI onboarding flow aimed at cutting ₹2 billion/year in fraud.
• Added $124M/month in recurring transactions via an integrated Autopay setup.

Built Groww's motor insurance vertical from the ground up, fully launch-ready with 5 underwriters before we had to park the project. 10/10 experience, would do all over again.

• Cut new insurer integration TAT from months to 2 weeks via a dynamic backend-driven frontend that adapted to each insurer's constraints.

Started a new team, optimised stuff under the hood to ensure Groww has the simplest and most secure login amongst all brokers, so investors could sleep tight at night.

• Conceptualised a unique device ID for seamless MFA login, saving ₹1.1 crore annually in OTP costs.
• Built remote logout, user + device risk scoring, and proactive fraud alerts.
• Established compliance monitoring that proactively caught a major KYC breach.

Optimised onboarding and built key features that fueled 5x YoY user growth, hoping I had a tiny hand in making Groww India's #1 broker :')

• Reduced p80 account-opening TAT from 19.25 hrs to 5.25 hrs via automated KYC using ML and Digilocker.
• Grew loan-eligible users 105% to 8M by setting up continuous CKYC update and a one-time cleanup.
• Knocked out 21k monthly support queries by building online nominee addition, mobile/email change, and demat closure flows.
